Why dimensions matter as much as weight

Retail boxes are built to sell, not to ship

Carriers bill whichever is greater: your package's actual weight, or its volumetric weight — (length × width × height) ÷ 5000. A large retail box with lots of empty air can cost more to ship than a small, densely packed one, even if it weighs less on a scale.

Repacking removes that wasted space: bulky branded boxes, foam inserts and display packaging come out, and your items go into a snug, sturdy box sized to fit.
