Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a ShipEgy account or using any part of the ShipEgy platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use our services.

These Terms apply to all customers using our package forwarding and shopping services.

2. Description of Services

ShipEgy provides a personal Egyptian mailing address, package receiving and photography, optional consolidation and repacking, package inspection, a Buy For Me purchasing service, and international shipping via third-party carriers.

All services are provided from our Cairo warehouse facility. Some services carry a fee as described on our Pricing page; receiving packages at your address is always free.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

We may require identity verification before releasing high-value shipments or enabling certain account features, as described in our Security page.

4. Your Egyptian Address and Suite Code

Each account receives a unique Suite Code that must appear on Address Line 2 of every package sent to your ShipEgy address. Packages arriving without a legible Suite Code may be logged as unclaimed and require manual verification before being added to your mailbox.

Your address and Suite Code are for your personal use only and may not be shared to receive packages on behalf of unrelated third parties without our consent.

5. Prohibited and Restricted Items

You may not ship items that are illegal under Egyptian law, the law of the destination country, or the policies of our carrier partners, including but not limited to firearms and weapons, narcotics, counterfeit goods, and hazardous materials. See our Prohibited Items page for a fuller list.

ShipEgy reserves the right to inspect, refuse, hold, or dispose of any package reasonably believed to contain a prohibited or restricted item, and to report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

6. Package Storage and Disposal

Packages receive a free storage period from their date of arrival, as described in our Storage Policy. Storage fees apply after this period expires, and packages left unpaid and unclaimed for an extended time after repeated reminders may be donated or disposed of.

ShipEgy is not responsible for items disposed of in accordance with this process after reasonable notice has been given.

7. Shipping, Carriers and Risk of Loss

International shipments are carried by independent third-party carriers such as DHL and FedEx. Once a shipment is handed to a carrier, that carrier's own terms of carriage and liability limits also apply.

Estimated delivery times and prices shown on ShipEgy are estimates only; actual transit times, customs processing, and final pricing after warehouse measurement may vary.

8. Fees and Payment

Service fees are shown on our Pricing page and are charged at the time a service is requested or completed. Shipping charges are calculated from the actual weight and dimensions measured at our warehouse and must be paid before a shipment is handed to a carrier.

All payments are processed through PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. ShipEgy does not store your full card number.

9. Buy For Me Purchases

When you use Buy For Me, you authorize ShipEgy to purchase the specified items on your behalf using the payment method you provide, in addition to a service fee. Item availability, final pricing, and store return policies are outside ShipEgy's control.

If an item becomes unavailable after you have paid, we will refund the affected portion of your order to your wallet or original payment method.

10. Customs, Duties and Compliance

You are responsible for complying with the import laws of your destination country, including the payment of any customs duties, taxes, or fees assessed on your shipment. ShipEgy generates customs documentation based on the information you provide and cannot guarantee any particular customs outcome.

Deliberately undervaluing a shipment or misdescribing its contents to avoid duties is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipEgy's liability for any claim relating to a shipment is limited to the amount you paid for the applicable service, or the insured value of the shipment if optional insurance was purchased, whichever is greater.

ShipEgy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, arising from delays, customs holds, or carrier actions outside our control.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, including accounts used for prohibited shipments or fraudulent activity.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support, provided all outstanding balances and shipments have been settled.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date, and continued use of ShipEgy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict of law principles. Questions about these Terms can be sent through our Contact page.
